Pregnancy & Smoking

Could you please tell me if it is safe to smoke while pregnant and if not what is the effect on the baby?

Please Marie, don't even think about smoking while pregant. That little baby did not ask to be brought into this world with a less-developed brain / body / lungs.

Give him a head-start in life by looking after yourself now!

It is advisable to stop smoking while pregnant as the fetus does not recieve as much oxygen than a non-smoker fetus and they need as much as they can to be healthy and grow! babys of moms who smoke weigh less at birth. It is found that after birth, children who lives in homes where people smoke are more prone to ear infections and colds.
