Possib male & female factor

My wife & I've been unsuccessful at conceiving for about ten months now. My semen analysis results are as follows:
Total count - 278.2 mill
Motility - 59%
Morphology - 9%.
I've seen a urologist & based on his clinical examination, there were no obvious abnormalities. I've been taking Sperm Aid for approx two months now & recently started taking calcium supp's. I have ankylosing spondylitis for apprx 8 yrs. I've used mostly NSAID's - curr taking Celebrex 200mg (1 a day).
My wife has an irregular cycle - varies from 29 to 38 days.
Should we seek help or just keep trying?

Dear Disillusioned

It is not unusual for men with a 9% morphology to father a child naturally. However, the fact that both husband and wife have minor problems would necessitate the use of assisted reproduction and in this case a simple intrauterine insemination may well be sufficient.

You have an excellent sperm quality, so please dont worry about that and if u r taking supps then all the better. your wifes irregular cycles may be the problem. Has she been tested to see if she is ovulating? Otherwise she can used something like Clomid to induce ovulation, but only under the guidance of a gynae. You can then time intercourse for 3 months and if nothing happens still then it might be advisable to see a fertility specialist to get another opinion. (Your wife might have endo or PCOS which makes falling preg a little bit more difficult)
