Planning to start a family

Hi,

I would like to know whether it is advisable to fall pregnant after finding out about +HIV status. If both the people involved are HIV+; should they not even consider falling pregnant/starting a family?

Thanks.

There is a risk of transmission to the fetus. This can be lessened by using antiretrovirals. In terms of your health, there is an increased risk of infections in pregnancy. The choice is up to you.

Best wishes
