Pins and needles in left arm & hand

For the last week I have been getting pins and needles in my left arm right down to my hand. Its extremely uncomfortable and sometimes painful.
What could it be?

I had the same pins and needles and numb in my left arm accompanied by pain in my left side and chest. Any ideas on what this could be???? I thought i was having a heart attack!

When a stroke appears to be imminent, would paracetemol help if
disprin is not available?
