Phedra Cut

Is this product harmful in any way? I saw a TV Programme talking about a substance called ephedra (ephedrine?) and how harmful (deadly in some instances) and addictive it can be. The name Phedra-cut sounds suspiciously close to this. Are there any connections?

Hallo Ben
Phedra Cut contains high dosages of caffeiene but not ephedrine (but just double check the ingredients list on the bottle as there are different kinds of Phedra-cut.
Ma Huang/Ephedra is the "natural" form of ephedrine that is also not safe to use. Alternative names are neuropeptide Y, O-coumaric acid, horsetail.
It is good to be sceptical with anything with a "phedra" in it and to read the ingredients carefully!
Major safety concerns have been associated with ephedra or ephedrine use are hypertension, palpitations, Brain excitation, irregular heart beats, heart attacks and stroke.
