Personal Files at Doctors

Dear Dr

If one wants to go to another doctor for a second opinion is one entitled to request ones files from the doctor. Specially if there have been tests and scans done?.

Thanks

Dear Files
Your Files belong to the doctor but you may ask him for copies of all your tests etc and a summary of your medical history ( after all you paid for it!!) And you are definitely allowed to get a second opinion - your doctor should not penalize you for this.
