Periactin contains cyproheptadine, an antihistamine. Besides its antihistaminic properties (allergies) it can also be used as an appetite-stimulant due to cyproheptadine's antiserotonin activity. Although side effects from cyproheptadine are not common, they can occur. These may include dry mouth, nose, and throat; drowsiness; dizziness; upset stomach; chest congestion; headache and diarrhea.
Bio-charge is a multivitamin and mineral supplement.
