paternity test

Can you please tell me what is the earliest stage during pregnancy one can do a parternity test, without risking the life of the baby?

It is possible to have an amniocentesis to do a paternity test on the fluid, but this does carry a risk of miscarriage.

Paternity tests are usually done once the child is born.
