Pains running down my left leg

Hi
I have a friend who has a pain running down from his left side, hip, down his buttocks and right down his leg to his feet.
What is causing this? The doctors have told him that he doesn't have a problem with his bones, do you think it is a nerve?

Spunky, it might be due to pressure on the nerves where they exit the back. The best would be to see a neurologist and have it sorted out. In the meantime he can try taking an anti-inflammatory like Brexecam® or Voltaren®. Good luck.
