My mum (50) has been complaining that her joints especially the ones on both her thumbs are painful for the past couple of weeks. What really worries me however is that she says that since yesterday her left side has been feeling numb. She has high blood pressure. Please help

Dear Tasha
She needs to see your GP to see if there is anything seriously wrong - she may have uncontrolled high blood pressure and the numbness can be a warning of impending stroke?
