pain in chest when eating - swallowing

Dear Doc

I have a pain in my chest (osaphagus?) when eating. It seems as if the pipe is blocked? I have wind (burping) and heart burn. When I burp is is slightly painful.

What should I do?

Andreas, it might just be due to a hernia (most likely cause), but it might also be due to something blocking the oesophagus and this may be very serious. The best would be to see your doctor and to have a gastroscopy done. Good luck.
