Our expert says:
In a vast majority of cases ovulation should return fairly promptly within the first month or two. If this does not happen then one should look to other possible causes such as underlying polycystic ovarian syndrome [PCOS], premature ovarian failure, premature menopause and other hormonal imbalances such as thyroid or Prolactin problems. It is very unusual for the pill by itself contribute to ovulation dysfunction.
