Hi Doc

Just a question re: Ovulation. When exactrly does one ovulate and how can one calculate it. i.e some people say its 18 days into your cycle and others say 10-14 days. Do you start counting from your first day of menstruation?

On a 28 day cycle, ovulation normally occurs on day 14. Add a extra day for each cycle day past 28 days. But this is not a reliable source.

Use a BBT chart or look for signs like:
Change in CM and Cervical position.

First day of menstruation is day 1. On a 28 day cycle, you ovulate on day 14, 29 day cycle day 15, 30 day cycle day 30. (Visit babycentre dot com or fitpregnancy dot co dot za. They have ovulation calculators which is very handy.) Have intercouse 2 days before ovulation, on the day and the day after.
