overwight please advise on weight loss

i am 27yrs with a 5yr old daughter,i weigh 100kg and i wear size 16 can you please advise on how i should lose weight and what a normal weight for someone my age is.i have also got a big tummy.if possible can you tell me the best remmedy between diet pills and diet only.thank you

According to international tables women aged 27 on average weigh 63 kg and are 1.63 m tall. To lose weight you need to basically change your lifestyle. Reduce your energy intake by eating an energy-reduced, low-fat, high-fibre diet (click on 'Diet' at the top of this page, 'Weight loss', ‘Balanced diet' and then on 'Slimming Diet' for a copy of such a diet), and increasing your energy output by doing regular exercise (running, jogging, skipping, cycling, swimming, join a gym or Walk for Life). Diet pills cost a lot of money, often don't do the job, and can be highly addictive if you use pills or products that contain epinephrine, synephrine or pseudo-epinephrine, so take care to avoid them. While you need to do aerobic exercise of general weight loss, you also need to do targeted exercises to firm and tighten the tummy. Ask Fitness Doc on this Website for targeted tummy exercises, or if you join a gym, get the instructor to work out special exercises for the tummy (e.g. situps, etc).
