Old male whippet.

He seems to have ear ache since he scratches as if something is irritating him.Our "Staffie" will at times lick his ears and it seems to help.Is there any product that can be used to clean his ears thoroughly?

There are dozens of products for ears, but unless you know exactly what the problem is, it's impossible to choose the right one.

Pop in and ask your vet, who will at the same time show you exactly how to clean the dog's ears - it's really worth learning this properly, because ears can become very chronically infected if you're not careful. For the same reason, it's also worth continuing whatever treatment your vet prescribes until the ears have really cleared up completely, because otherwise you're going to be 'growing' resistant bacteria which won't be so easy to treat.
