Our expert says:
I would think that you would burn a lot more energy by doing 2000 m rowing and running for 20 minutes - if you do this, and stick to it, then you would be doing twice as much as most people do. It is true that people often gain weight once they leave school but it's because they become inactive - no more school sports, or afternoons walking home, or whatever the case was. If you are disciplined enough to stick to what you have suggested, it will certainly have an effect. Walking around the school building itself probably doesn't burn all that much anyway - it's the school sports that is the main thing that people lose touch with and then put on weight.
