no salary - new job

my husband' s company seems to be having financial problems. he didnt get paid for June, and was asked to work from home in July. the owner keeps on saying he' ll pay the next day and so on and he has explained that he' s waiting for one of their clients to pay up. so it seems he wont get paid again in july since the company hasnt worked that much. it' s a small consulting firm which employs abt 15 people so sueing is really out of the question. now he' s considering going back to the previous company he worked for. but we' re not sure if he should resign or just start at the other company without saying a word to his current boss. the fear is that the current boss might not pay him when he gets payment from his client, or might partpay him, or keep on saying he' ll pay him. but if he starts at the other company without saying anything (resigning), we dont know what implications there' ll be if his current boss finds out cos his contract dictates a months notice. and we need the salaries for june and july to be paid. pls advise

If your husband did not receive his money for June then it is suggested that you do go to the Department of Labour as soon as possible. It woudl also be wine for him to consider finding alternative employment as it looks like the company is about to go bankrupt.
