Mother shaking like she has parkensens, but what else can cause this?

Hi, My mother's hands shakes alot, what could the most possible causes be? Would stress in a household also cause this? She smokes as well. Drinks coffee and normally about 4 - 6 tea spoons of sugar.

Dear Sonar,
Coffee, smoking and stress could all cause shaky hands, but normally it is what we call a fine tremor. Some people have an inherited fine tremor when doing things like darning. Parkinsons have a more pronounced repetitive tremor, especially when they do something like eating with a knife and fork. On rest it is better. The also walk with difficulty ( shuffling), have stiffness, loss of facial expression, difficulty to get up out of a chair and emotional symptoms like depression.
