morning after pills

Dear doc,

I would like to know if firstly there is a need to take morning after pills if intercourse occured on the day your period was begining? Secondly how safe is it to take these during your period?

The chances of falling pregnant the day your period starts is quite low but, if you want to be quite safe, then you should take the morning after pill. There is no problem taking this during a period.
