During the Month of Fast, you need to eat a normal diet during the period between sunset and sunrise (i.e. a supper and breakfast). Because you are not trying to lose weight you can have larger portions of the permitted foods. This diet will ensure that you do not develop deficiencies and that you have sufficient energy for work during the day without overdoing your fat intake. If you intend to avoid drinking liquids during the fast period, make sure that you also hydrate yourself during the night by drinking about 4 cups of water in addition to your normal liquid intake to prevent dehydration.
