Moducare - Not what it claims?

I was suprised to read today in a scientific article on the website plantzafrica.com (under hypoxis hemerocallidea - African potato plant) that the immunomodulatory effect of phytosterols (while being acknowledged), in the product Moducare (which I take!) are not in fact derived from Hypoxis h. at all but are manufactured from pine wood extracts. How does this effect the product and is there any chance of toxis in this? I feel that Moducare's manufacturers need to be more honest if this is the case. Your thoughts please.

Many thanks
