That depends, what is moderate for one person is hard for another, easy for another, because moderate is relative unfortunately. So, in general, we are talking about exercise such as running, cycling, swimming, aerobics, squash (take your pick) that is done at an intensity that is neither easy or hard, but somewhere in the middle. The best guide of intensity is to go at a level that allows you to finish feeling relatively tired, but not completely exhausted. Perhaps, on a scale of 1 to 10, you should be at about 6 or 7 for a moderate session.
