mirena - 5 years old

good morning to you..

this month my mirena is 5 yeas old.

is it still effective as birthcontrol?

You need to get it replaced before the end of the month as it only lasts for 5 yrs:)

Hi Renti

I would think that you need to have your mirena changed as i don't think that it will be as effective as the last 5 years, unless you would like children, get another on put in. I have one and i find it is the most effective and non-worrying contraceptive on the market.
