mineral in water

Hi Doc
At my workplace one of our Dieticians discovered the minerals ext in the water is to much above what it's suppose to be. I am 9 weeks pregnant and the other dietician 16 weeks. We immediately stopped drinking the water.. We in the meanwile drank tea from our kettle, we obviously boil the water for the tea. We now discovered the kettle are black inside and changed the kettle for a new one.... Is there any way that these very high levels of minerals and stuff in the water could do any harm to our babies even if we boil the water.......?
