Dear GN
Research shows that individuals with definite ADHD do not become addicted to stimulant medications when taken in the form and dosage prescribed by doctors . When taken by people for the wrong reasons and in the wrong ways like trying to lose weight, snorting or injecting it, it can deplete the brain's normal dopamine levels and cause serious medical complications.
Addictive is a relative term - is a diabetic addicted to insulin? - they can't live without it? If you have a good medical reason and a good and responsible doctor that did the diagnosing and will do the prescribing, and this is going to help you - use it!
