Dear Helen,
Any blood in the urine is too much. If it is visible with the naked eye, please ask your dr to refer her to an urologist - they can stop the bleeding by coagulation of the area - under anaesthetic and they work through the urine tract , so no cutting. People with metastasized cancer sometimes isn't hungry at all and don't eat properly. Try supplementing with Nutritional shakes, give her Lucozade to drink - it contains glucose and will help keep the energy up. Or make Lucozade ice blocks for her to suck on.
