Mesenteric cyst

Hello Doc,

I went for another scan yesterday after finding out that our baby( 28 weeks pregnant) had a mass in her stomach. They have diagnosed it as a mesenteric cyst. On Friday, it was 1.7cm. Yesterday it was over 3cm. Is this comman in unborn babies? They said it will probally pop on it's own before she is born. Doc, do you see alot of these cases, and is that the usual outcome?

Thank-you for your help

It is not common but not very serious. It may disappear on its own, but may need removal after birth.

Best wishes
