Mensuration

I know of a girl that begins her mesuration so early as in 12th. some times it doesn't come till last weak of the month. And another thing is that hers lasts for only 2-3 days. Is this normal?
Please explaine.

Young girls can actually start menstruating from 9 years onwards, although most start around 13-14 years. In the beginning it may be light and irregular, so yes, this can be normal.
