Medication to reduce Fibroids?????

Please help!!!
Is there a medication - as opposed to surgery - which can sucessfully reduce/shrink fibroids...

I am 52 and have extremely heavy periods - will this ease up during menopause...

Medications to reduce fibroids are only temporary and cannot be used longterm. The heavy periods will obviously stop when you reach the menopause. If the fibroids are not very big, they may then not need any treatment if they are not causing problems.
