It is a pleasure to be of help. I do not know what the energy value of mazoe cold drink is, but according to the SA Food Tables squashes like Oros contain 110 kJ per 100 ml, so if you dilute this type of drink 50% with water it would possibly contain about 50 kJ per 100 ml, which is not excessive as such. However, if you drink all 500 ml then you would still be ingesting 250 kJ which could new could contribute to weight gain over time. Research indicates that sugar-sweetened liquids are more likely to cause weight gain than sugar-sweetened solid foods. So be careful and don't drink too much of this beverage per day. Alternatives are of course plain or bottled water.
