mammogram

i have a friend 29 yrs and have 1 child, just discovered that she has a lump under her armpit just between the armpit n the breast(not painful) she went to a specialist, the specialist says she must go for sergary...then she was seek n had 2 go 2 the GP whom she told about the lump, well the GP say she has to do the Mammogram but the specialist says she is young for that...she is confused n we are all are.What should she do? at what age is one suppose to go for mammograms etc

Mammograms are not very useful in women under the age of 40, as the breast tissue is too dense.
