Dr Burger has provided you with one course of action that you could follow to treat your condition. This is though the most radical treatment for a condition that is known to be curable through less drastic interventions.

Your condition, called phimosis, is caused by the muscles in the ridged band in the FS that have not expanded to allow the FS to retract. This is also frequently accompanied by a tight frenulum (the sting think on the bottom).

You may want to consider trying manual stretching of the constriction. With a corti/steroid cream obtainable from your DR, over the next 2-4 month, twice daily gentle manual stretching will cause the skin and muscles to stretch. Both the ridged and frenulum, being skin, will respond by increasing the amount of connective tissue and will allow your FS to become retractable.

If this does not work for you, consider a prepuplasty, a minor surgical procedure that releases the tight ridged band. Cosmetically this offers an excellent result, and allows you to retain your sensitive FS.

Refer to for more information on these options before agreeing to a circumcision.

Forskins vary in length considerably, and dependant on your state of arousal.

You do not indicate in what state your skin does not retract (soft or hard) or your age.

The non retraction could be due to either your age (still too young), or a constriction called phimosis. This can be cured through application of a topical steriod cream and or gentle stretching.

Refer to or NOCIRC-SA for more information on how to treat your condition without surgery.
