left calfmussle deterioration after 2nd backoperation

my husband's left calf slowly deteriorated after 2nd backoperation. no pain. walks difficult. starting to affect right leg aswell. seen a lot of doctors. no result, can't find anything wrong. still calf and leg is getting thinner. can you help?

He must have nerve damage in his back that causes the muscles of the legs to deteriorate. Depending on what was wrong in his back in the first place this could be untreatable. Did he see an orthopod or neurosurgeon yet about this?

if i remember correctly he has seen both? can you refer us to one or both? is there nothing he can do to prevent the deterioration from going futher. what will the end result be - wheelchair?
