We have a new lab puppy. Will hre grow out of wanting to chew everything and when? When is the best time to have him neutered?

Hi Ronel, chewing is very much a normal puppy activity and what you need to do is make sure he has enough 'legal' toys to keep him occupied and use management to keep things he should not have out of the way. Ideas to consider:
a. Kongs - brilliant things - soften part of his food, smear the inside of the Kong with honey as an anti-bacterial, then stuff the food inside - will keep him busy for ages. there are other toys that you can stuff available at vets and pet shops, but always make sure there are two holes in them or else the tongue can get stuck inside.
b. Empty water bottles with some holes in them - put in some of his food and he will happily chase around, chew on it etc to keep himself busy.
c. Here is a link to a free Puppy e-book on my site which will give you a wealth of information to help you. also do consider puppy school, he really needs the socialization and you will learn a lot and have a much better behaved and social dog.
Sterilizing, check with your own vet, but normally at 6 months of age. Here is the link and nice to have been in touch! thks S
