Q:At what age can kittens be taken away from the mother?6 or 8 weeks?(Providing that they can eat and drink by themselfs)
Q:They are 4 weeks old this Sunday, and have started to walk around, this is seemingly irritating the mother, who are subsequently carrying them around the whole house...Would it upset her if we close the door to the room, allowing them enough space to still move around but still leave a window open for her?

Dear Callie

Can be weaned at 6w but they are a lot stronger and healthier when weaned at 8 weeks. Last question: Try and see if she can cope.
