joint inflammation

i have been experiencing pains around my thumb finger and wrist, i went to see a GP and was told it could be a form of arthritis,he also said the joint might be inflammed and was given injection which never eased the pain i'm only 25 years

Please get a second opinion, at your age it is more likely that you have tendonitis in the thumb than arthritis. One can't really diagnose arthritis without a x/ray.
