ivf-chance of birth defects

Please tell me if it is true that ivf babies are at higher risk to be born with birth defects? - like Serebral Paulsy etc.

Cerebral palsy is usually related to deprivation of oxygen to the fetus in the womb. Birth defects result from abnormal formation of the organs. There may be a slightly higher risk of these with IVF, but many can be screend for with ultrasound.
