Itching &  blistering on palms and soles

My work collegue has had this condition for about 2 months now. Her Dr prescribed anitfungal cream, anithistamines and cortisone but it has not helped. She was referred to a dermatologist who did a skin scraping but she has to wait 2 months for the result. Is this normal ? Surely her condition should be treated sooner rather than later. We are also concerned about it being contagious to her fellow workers.

Dear Pixie
you don't have to wait 2 months for a skin scraping result - usually this is available within 3 weeks at the most. See if you can't call the doctor and find out what is happening.
