Issues at work

I am a receptionist/secretary/pa for a company for 6 years, since the new HR manager started 2 years ago she was on my case she started of by saying she never receives her messages I was called into the Financial Directors office and had to proof it was not true I printed a pile of message confirmations which was send through to her by e-mail then he looked at it and said he will discuss the matter with her, in the heat of the dispute she send a mail to my manager saying she thinks we have an personality clash which I answered I have never before had a personality clash with anyone and I am definetly to old to have problems like that with anyone in the workplace. so next she complained that her cell number are being given to work seekers and agents, I then took her number of the official office telephone list, next was the e-mail address which she complained about being given out and I am not the olnly one in this company being victimised by this women there is plenty people, do you guys agree this victimisation and what can I do about this. I need my job Iam a single parent.

You don't have a personality clash --- she has a problem with handling her own incompetence, and apparently a great difficulty in telling the truth. As HR manager she is supposed to PREVENT problems at work, not to create them. Consult a labopu lawyer, CCMA, Dept of Labour -- and make a formal complaint about this woman victimizing you, and call for a proper objective investigation of the way she has been treating you and others. Remind the boss of the messages incident, when i was proved that she was LYING about you, and remind the Financial Director that he does not seem to have dealt wih the problem of am HR manager who lied about an employee and made false complaints.

Hi Katje, you better act while you have the opportunity. I was caught in the same situation and I went for a hearing early this week for late coming after she and the her boss actually had a pile of false alleagtions about me and I was given a verbal warning which led to a final written warning and a demotion from PA to receptionist after the hearing. Watch that you don't get there.

Why don't u forward a complaint to the Financial Director, and state how you feel about this. Its obvious this woman does'nt like ur presence and will do anything to get rid of you. If u don't act now u l soon find urself without a job. Its ur right to complain, and see how it goes.
