Is too much water bad for a person?

Hi there,
I would just like to know is too much water bad for a person, can drinking too much water do more harm than good?

Yes, anything in excess can be bad for you, including drinking too much water. Do not drink more than 1,5 L per day in addition to your other liquids, as you can cause electrolyte imbalances by washing important minerals like potassium, magnesium, sodium, and calcium out of the body. Even a good practice like drinking water should not be overdone.
