Our expert says:
This is an interview, not a confession. They'd like to hear that you can be reasonably frank, that you have thought about such questions, and have some sort of answer to them 9 there are no right answers to such questions ). So just calmly think this through for yourself --- what, in terms of what you could offer to this job, ARE your strengths ? And what are your weaknesses ( everybody has some --- people who don't recognize their weaknesses are more of a problem ). And as most of the applicants would p[robably be OK in the post --- what DO you think makes you particularly suitable for this position ? HOw might you have some sort of advantage over some of the others ? Don't sound too cocky and over-confident, nor too fiercely self-critical
