IBD is more or less a collective name for a condition that may be caused by different factors, and that may manifest differently depending on the cause and also depending on where in the gut the problem is situated.

So, without knowing exactly what's causing the symptoms your dog is experiencing, it's not really possible to come up with suggestions as to what to do.

Your best bet is to acquire as much information as possible so that you can discuss the issue with your vet as intelligently as possible, and together come up with the best way of managing your dog's illness.

If you go to Google and put in the following, including punctuation: "inflammatory bowel disease" dog
you'll see a LOT of references - even just reading the first one on the list is quite informative and may give you some ideas.

Good luck with your pooch.
