infection in womb from tonsil scraping

Can a woman get an infection in her womb from medicine used in a tonsil scraping and need a blood transfusion?

Dear Loo
No, you would not get an infection in the womb from medicine used in a tonsil operation. What can happen is that you may get a fungal vaginal infection. This however would not cause loss of blood, the blood transfusion could have been given because the patient lost a lot of blood with the tonsil operation?
