Impulsiveness can be seen as a feature of a number of mental disorders, and can respond to proper treatment ; it can also be a feature of some personality disorders ( disorders of who and what we are, rather than something that changes us ) and then can be more difficult to treat, but still posible --- IF the person concerned actually sincerely wants to change. What one needs is to see a ood local shrink for a proper assessment off the natuure of the problem, and of what would be helpful in bringing such behaviour back under control
