Dear Bob
You can take a complete vitamin and mineral supplement like Centrum or Supradyn. plus Salmon oil capsules to increase your omega-3 intake. Also eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, unprocessed whole grains, fish, low-fat milk and yoghurt. Taking probiotics such as Bifidoflora or Bifidoforte (buy at health shops) also boosts the immune system.

Hey Bob,
The best place to start is with a multivitamin. This would be your foundation, making sure your body has everything it needs. (Solgar makes a good, high potency one called V2000 and is available in most healthshops.) An anti-oxidant like Vitamin C (1000mg a day) especially will help increase your body's immune system and help fight viruses. (Again, Solgar makes a buffered vitamin C, where all the acidity has been taken out, called Ester-C)
Good food sources are:
* Peppers (yellow, red, green)
* Broccoli
* Oranges
* Spinach
* and a few more, which Im sure the doc could tell you...

Take care
Sunshine
