Dear Sandy
Rather use soluble fibre products like Fibogel or Fibre clear or Aim's herbal fibre blend.

I was diagnosed with IBS in June this year and was put onto Zelnorm for 3 months which helped substantially with the recurring colon severe cramp-type pain that I was getting. I have since bought a diet book from Exclusive Books for IBS which has wonderful simple recipes in it of all types and gives lots of info on the condition. Its called The New IBS Low Starch Diet by Carol Sinclair. You will have to place an order for it as its an old edition (2003) but is very good. I got it at Sandton City Exclusive Books and paid R138.00 for it, but felt it was worth it.
