Hysterical Outbursts

My daughter of 10 years old is given to severe hysterical outbursts when she gets stressed or when she is does not get her own way. It does not happen too often, but she has recently changed scools and they are becomming more frequent.
Her biological mother is prone to the same behaviour. Could there
be a medical explination for these outbursts that stress triggers.

Dear Leony
I think she needs to be evaluated by a child psychiatrist and referred for neurological examination if necessary.
