Hypertension

On holiday recently I ran out of my hypertension medication (Coversyl) for about 5 days. When I checked my blood pressure twice a day (morning and night), my blood pressure was actually low ie. 116/70. Why is that? Does that not mean I could go without my blood pressure meds?

Dear Jacqui
Blood pressure meds work slowly - only after about a month will you see the effect of starting or stopping with meds - so I won't advise you to stop it now.
