husky cross escapes and like to kill

hi i have a husky cross, he loves to climb trees and jump over our boundary wall onto teh road, he has killed a number of cats that wander into our yard, birds, lizards etc. he is very protective of the family and the property, which in itself is not a bad thing, i juat want to know how to stop him jumping onto the road, as he has a tendacy to fight with the other dogs (and he is not very big in size). i need a solution that does not require him being tied up or locked up, as this makes it worse.. as he escapes at night adn during the day as well.

Dear Ash

The shock collars that keep them in certain boundries is a way forward here.

Spend money to make the walls higher. Or buy the Pet Persuader and install it on the existing walls. It works really well and you can install it yourself. Google it.

One thing is for sure: this type of behaviour cannot continue. It will cost you a lot of heartache and/or money. What if he bites a dog which is walking on a leash with its owner? The owner might also get bitten or God forbid, a child.

Good luck
