Hi there
It is also known as Antabuse and is used to treat alcoholism. When you take the medication, you cannot ingest alcohol because it will make you severely ill. In this way, it prevents you from drinking alcohol. It causes the same effect as a hangover, immediately after drinking alcohol. If you consider taking this, or you are trying to get information for someone else, consider contacting your GP. This has to be prescribed by a doctor, and there must be some form of 'monitoring'. Good luck.
